Cynthia plied us with variations of these cookies all week to keep our spirit’s up . . . successfully. Seriously, you must try them.
Cream 1 cup butter
Add to it 1 cup brown sugar packed
Add 2 eggs, one at a time
Sift 2 cups flour
Add 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt
Add dry ingredients to butter mixture
Add 2 cup rice crispies and 2 cups oatmeal
Drop onto greased pan
Bake for 12 minutes at 375 degrees
Try as is or add whatever combinations of candy chips, dried fruit and nuts you fancy.

mmm…sound good. I bet a splash of almond extract would be a great addition!
